Ways to create and have more joy in your life!

~ Pay more attention to the things that already bring you joy. Whatever we focus upon, we get more of that in our experience. Ever notice that when you buy a new/different car, you start noticing lots of others like it but didn’t see them before? It’s not that they weren’t there before, you just didn’t have the perspective to see them. Just like they say that when Columbus came to America, the Indians couldn’t see the ships out on the horizon because they didn’t have the frame of reference of what a ship was.   ~ Improve your...

We are ALL artists…

We are ALL artists…

We are THE MAIN creator of our experience in this lifetime. Everyone we have a relationship with, whether brief or extended, is a co-creator (and us for their experience) but NOTHING gets created without our consent and contribution. Many don’t want to believe this because it’s too much responsibility to accept.   I saw this image (below) on FB the other day. I’ve heard this description before but I want to apply it to us as the artist/creators of our life experience; our life being the masterpiece. Starting at a very early age I was...

Modify your life to fit YOUR life!

Modify your life to fit YOUR life!

This morning I went to, what was supposed to be, a pilates class at the gym. It turned out to be “PiYO” which is a blend of pilates and yoga. I love both but my wrists can’t do much yoga and I currently have issues in one of my shoulders, hips and both my feet/toes that keep me from easily moving from cobra to downward dog, or several other yoga positions. I would have gone to a yoga class if I wanted yoga. I wanted pilates. The class consisted mostly of yoga and was lead by the typical young, bouncy, thin thing that...

This chapter…

I was thinking the other day about how much we, mostly women, try to reclaim this younger, “prime” version of ourselves. And I finally asked myself, “Why?” The knee-jerk response was, “because I was lighter, had more even toned skin, less wrinkly… more “beautiful”. But I had to think only a little while about how this wasn’t who I was anymore. OMG… I ‘m not saying that I’m less beautiful… I’m just a different beautiful. AND I’m amazed at the strength AND courage I have within. I had a “wild fire” in me when I was younger, but as I fully step...

15 years

15 years

As I woke up this morning, I laid in bed thinking about my kitties. I wondered about how long they might be with me. They’re all about 4-5 years old (the kids just turned 4 in February and their mother only has about 7-8 months on them). I had the realization that if they live as long as most of my other kitties have, they could be with me a further 15 years. This got me to thinking about how old I’ll be in 15 years. I’m 55 now so + 15 = 70. Golly. I like the idea that these guys might still be with me when I’m 70. But ME… being “70” is oddly...

Letting go of the temptation of sugar…

Letting go of the temptation of sugar…

Avoiding processed sugar (and other sugars in the form of most fruits and carbs like grains, bread/pasta, etc) has largely been successful for me when I look at it as something that I know doesn’t serve me well. This I know by experience – proven over, and over, and over again. 😉 Not only does it “not serve me” but it does bad, mean things to me. It hurts me. Not like a bully would (with intention) but like the ground does if I fall and hit it hard. But it isn’t the ground that hurts me since IT didn’t move...

Take a slow deeep breathe…

Take a slow deeep breathe…

Focusing on your breath allows you to let go of resistance, and this, brings you more into alignment with Source. From that place, all that is required for the positive outcome you desire is to focus on what it is you DO want, and FEEL that emotion within. Do this throughout the day, at each new “segment” of events. This kind of intending will prevent you from encountering random or uncomfortable stuff. What you focus upon will manifest. It is law. And without focus, “shit happens”. Without positive “segment...

“If you fall, I’ll be there.” –Floor

Saw this post on FB today. At first it made me laugh, then it made me think. Support is SUCH a needed and necessary thing for our success in life. I’ve often experienced sadness around the fact that one of the BIG things I’ve felt lacking in my life is support. My family has never been supportive and in fact, collectively they’ve been very critical, demanding and quite destructive toward my self-esteem and confidence. With the exception of my dad. Growing up, he was my only ally in the family. I’ve looked closely at the circumstances of my...

GOT A COLD? FEELING PUNY??

GOT A COLD? FEELING PUNY??

This is so goofy of me… Whenever I get overstressed or overwhelmed with stuff I tend to eat more cooked foods. Especially during the cooler/winter months. It “feels” more comforting in the sense of warmth coming in and to my other senses but it certainly doesn’t make me feel better over all (with the exception of some homemade chicken soup, of course). The point I’m making… if you’re feeling puny, add more LIVE (living) foods, live juices or green smoothies to your diet. Think chlorophyll and...

Bathing in nature and Earthing

Bathing in nature and Earthing

Seems like almost EVERYONE I know either just came back from or is going camping. I have to admit that I’ve been a little envious. But… while I’ve always enjoyed camping, I also have found it to be a lot of work and at times I’ve come home more tired than when I left…. and then I had to unpack and clean up (I probably could have picked better camping partners! 😉 ). The best part of camping, for me and probably many others, is communing with nature. Realizing this, and that I can bask in the healing benefits of nature without...
